    Torque Specs - GT40 heads

Like the title says. Just wondering what kinda of torque specs I should be using and what kind of order I should be tightening them down in. We have to replace the valve cover gaskets on the Cobra and seeing as the motor has about 500 miles on it and the heads have never been re-checked figured we would go ahead and play it safe. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Well.it sorta depends....it use head bolts or studs? Bolts...I'd do 70ft/lb on the bottom...75 on the top. Studs I'd due 75 on bottom, 80 on top. Work your way from the middle out in a X pattern.

    Torque pattern is this: 8 4 1 5 9
................................. 7 3 2 6 10 Torque specs are 65 and 60 according to the book with moly lube on the bolts. Use a sealant on the bottom row. I use blue silicone, works well instead of the moly on those.
