Anyone have any info on these? Which one is a roller block (if any), approximate power levels that they will withstand, ability to find a D1ZM block, ect?

I am not 100% sure but I believe the mexican block is a non-roller block. The sportsman block should be a roller block though. rscoupe use to run a sportsman block in his real street car. He could probably give you a good opinion of it.

How much do conversion kits usually run, or would it be better to run a flat tappet or solid lifter/ solid roller lifter cam?

How much power are you trying to make?

They might have been a hydraulic flat tappet out of the box, but the conversion lifters are like $500 bucks to be able to run a roller cam, not to mention the cost of the spider and dogbones (unless you get em off a trashed roller 5.0)
Someone suggested in my thread about converting a windsor (I think it was Mike Bell) said that if you want to use stock roller lifters you must use a cam with a smaller base circle... which If I am thinking right, means a smaller cam.
You dont need the dog bones and spyder with the conversion lifters they are link bar type lifters.
