I don't think you will have to look too hard. I'm sure your garage looks like a car blew up in there. While you got everything apart this is the perfect time to get some stuff done. Maybe I'll have to start a bulk discount. BTW the car is coming along nicelyI really like that wrinkle black, let me look around the garage and see what I need coated.![]()

2 garages worth, lol. Thanks, I hear paint is flying this weekend! If you had a bigger oven, we could have done the car in wrinkle black and said hell with the body work!

One day mine will get paint too, hopefully. Can't wait to see that blue on the car I'm sure it will look kick ass.

Looks awesome, very nice work. How do you powdercoat plastic? Doesn't it need baked? How do you cure it without melting it?
If i wanted some valve covers done, what would it cost me?

You can't do all types of plastic however there are some like LS-X chevy intakes and covers that seem to hold up to the temps. You also do them at a lower temp just for a longer period of time. If anyone has a junk plastic intake from a Ford I would love to try to do one of those. How do you powdercoat plastic? Doesn't it need baked? How do you cure it without melting it?

Any chance you can do ceramic coating? What are you baking in?

No not doing ceramics yet. That may be a ways down the road. It takes a special gun and the paint is very expensive. I do plan to start doing high temp powders soon which will withstand temps in 1200deg range. Timido had his headers powdered 3yrs ago and they are still holding up really well.Any chance you can do ceramic coating? What are you baking in?

I've heard that for some reason, white powdercoat holds up on headers really well...don't know if there's any truth to that. If i ever pull my headers off, i need to do something with them...they're Mac full lengths and they're rusted up pretty bad.

If the guy you know can't blast your stuff, I do have a blast cabinet so blasting them is not a problem.

Yeah, I am debating whether to have a part or two powdercoated black. One of which I know will fit in your oven while the other I am not sure of. I'll get some dimensions for you so you can let me know if it will fit in your oven. It may be too big. We will be in touch.

You guys wanna see something kinda cool. This is dormant yellow gold metallic. The first one is right out of the oven after the first coat. The second is right after the clear coat went on and the third is after final cure. It completely changes colors. Well at least I thought it was pretty cool.
Here is also a intake cover I did is the same chrome I just thought I would show the reflection.
And the last for the day. My crotch strap bar installed. I did powder the bolts in satin black.

Out of curriosity, how much would it cost to get a set of 4 pony rims and center caps coated satin black with a silver lip?? pm me about it when you get a chance.
Thanks, Mark
You're not going fast enough until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death..
Did a couple things today. I have some extra rods laying around so I thought I would use them as test pieces.
Mirror Red
Wrinkle red which is really hard to get to show up well in pics
Ultimate Chrome Different chrome than I have used in other pics. This one is really shiny.
Another Ult chrome, I'm sure in the sunlight it will look really impressive
All three together

That stuff looks good Kenny!
Hmmm I wonder how close the wrinkle red is to the intake on my STi??? I would love to do some under hood stuff that color if its a close match.
I can do some ivestigative work and find out which wrinkle red matches it perfect. I'm pretty sure someone makes one that matches the Subi's nearly dead on.Hmmm I wonder how close the wrinkle red is to the intake on my STi??? I would love to do some under hood stuff that color if its a close match.
