Have some Yellow road paint on my inner finder and lower rocker panal. what would take it off with out damaging the finish? I have heard Akra lac or paint thiner. But I am scared to try. Thanks

Sorry I dont remember the name but I have used wipes especially made for this. Maybe try a local paint store.

Spray some brake cleaner on and rag...takes it right off

I got to be careful because its on the ground effect on the side of the lightning. I have tried Burning it off with a buffer and compond. I must have happen last year and it'd harder then WOOD PECKER LIPs!!
It is what it is.
I have used Mequires Body Scrub in the past with sucess. It may take awhile depending how much you have and how thick. It also works great taking off undercoating.

I think I used 3M adhesive remover.It worked pretty well.You can get it in a quart can or a spray.The spray is kinda handy to have around any way.

Clay bar. No solvents needed. I pulled a huge hunk of dirt *out* of my paint that was there from the factory on the front bumper- half surrounded and embedded in the paint. It pulled it out after a few minutes of working at it. Anything on top of the paint is easy.

3M makes a great adhesive remover ... it takes off more than just adhesive and is clear coat safe ... it dissolves the tar off my quarters after a hard day of racing ... pricey ($14) but good stuff ... its in a metal can ...

hannah paint in middletown sells a bug and tar remover and on the bottle it say's for use on road paint its completly safe and works great!!!!!!!!!

I have something on my truck that would probably work but it is professional only. It is a volitile solvent. I use it to get anything oil based out of carpet. I have paint removers but they may soften the paint on the body. Stop by the shop one night when I am thrashing on my coupe and I will try a few things.
