    beating cancer....literally.

A family recently reached out to me. The father has been fighting pancreatic cancer, recently was told he is running out of time. He is a couple years into a 4 year project. 1964 mustang. After hearing the story of the car and the father's health, the list of names available to the family to finish it, they chose me. Very humbling and flattering. His wish is to drive it one time, even if it means not being completed. My goal is at a minimum to get the carpet, and front seats in so his wife can go for his ride. Here's a few pics. I will update as I go, as quickly as I can.

Awesome of you to step up and offer your talents and time to help the family out this way. What part of town is the car being worked on?

Got drive shaft in, shifter and neutral safety switch, wired the switch. Finished speedo cable. Got battery cables routed. On to the rest of the wiring.

Man that's awesome. If heaven gave away frequent flyer points you'd be platinum elite status on this good deed alone.

Thanks everyone. A little bad news from the family today, I'm trying to have it to the alignment shop tomorrow, I'm still two or three hours from having it to where I can get it there. Hope to have it back Thursday. I may have to ask for help to finish. Don't know what else to say at this point. Except,,,,, Thanks so much for all the support, and the family is thankful as well !

I have to take delivery of my wifes new car Saturday morning about 0930. She has a birthday party to attend that afternoon. Would the offer for any grunt work help, a second pair of hands or whatever benefit you any way? I could be available say NLT than 1:00pm to head up to Middletown to give you a hand. PM me with your address if this would be of any help. I could give you 4-5 hours of my time. I'm no auto tech, but I'm free and its a second pair of hands.

I will certainly take the help. I start midnights tomorrow night, can't do much without a radiator fan. Inquiring about it as we speak. I'll keep you posted. Again. Wow thank you!
