Nice progress. Looks real good.
Nice progress. Looks real good.
Hopefully I tracked down the problem. I turned my idle mixture screws all the way in and nothing. Cars running really rich at idle. Time to track down a new power valve in the morning. Hopefully it makes a big difference. Hopefully someone has one in stock so I can run some TnT.
Went to TnT tonight. Best run was:
60' 1.747
1/8 8.487
1/4 13.280
MPH 102.42
Nothing to brag about, but it did better than I thought it would and it was my first time. I must say, I'm hooked. I'm already wanting that 12.999999.
Good on that, glad it's starting to work out for you.

Would switching from my 600 cfm vacuum secondaries carb to a 650 Double Pumper be beneficial to my combo? Also might go with 4.30s over the winter.
nice project. keep up good work!
It's been a long winter. Finally got to pull my junk out of the garage today.

Sounds good! Hope to see it out come spring!
Haven't updated in quite some time. I've found a few deals on some used junk and made a few changes. Bolted on a set of old Trick Flow Twisted Wedge 170 heads and switched to a new 650cfm mechanical secondaries carb. My main focus this winter has been drivetrain. My goal is to drive to the track and run on sticky tires without worrying about breaking. I acquired a TKO600 with CF dual friction clutch. I am also upgrading to a set of Moser 31 spline axles and 31 spline trac lok.
Nice parts!!! That should make a big difference!

Switching over to fuel injection also. Going with a stock computer and harness or an aftermarket set up?

I'm going to give Megasquirt MS3x a try.
Gotcha. Ive never ran the Megasquirt but there are people out there that like it. As long as it is fairly easy to tune, you should be good.
