With mounting the regulator in the front of the engine, I felt the most sense was to go to the rear fuel bowl on the passenger side and to the front fuel bowl on the drivers side.

Thanks Brian, I'm really looking forward to warmer weather myself. Once I finish the dash lights or at least in the process, I need to wire in my line lock and transbrake too.

I'm ready for the warmer weather, I may be able to get around the block and back before the neighbors possibly complain. Lol
For now it will primarily be a strip car until I can get all the factory wiring reinstalled.

Finalizing the trans brake wiring and then I will run it through the gears on jack stands. Once that is completed, I may take it out on the street just to see how she acts today.

The only thing I see that may be bad is if the hose pops off or it breaks and spills under the tires. That wouldn't be good!!!

I thought about that as well but not sure there is any true spot to mount it that some coolant may not affect that. The best bet would be the center of the engine compartment then, I guess it could be mounted in front of the radiator, just wouldn't be as clean looking under the hood.

I had an aluminum overflow and Gary welded it right to the radiator. Very clean looking and about 8 inches of hose running to it. I don't know if I got any pictures of it but Ill check.

That's an idea, I can look into that here soon. Just wanted something at this time to prevent any further messes from the coolant.

Just a small update but no photos to show at this time. Getting ready for the Stang to make one more trip to the chassis shop (Rogue Racecars), hopefully this will be the final trip for quite some time.
First, the 9" housing end that is welded onto the 8.8 has a pinhole leak, needs to be fixed.
Second, the 8.8 is going to get the Team Z reinforcement kit installed to keep the axle tubes from twisting under heavy acceleration.
Third, the rear end is going to get a wishbone installed to keep the 8.8 straight under heavy acceleration.
Fourth, mounting of the GM 1-wire alternator to keep power coming to the system, brackets and spacers will need made for this.
Fifth, need to look at modifications to my existing trans cross member, my 3 1/2" exhaust will not fit with the current one.

You already have the Team Z brace? Josh Ashley is local and makes a bad ass brace! I can get you in touch with him if needed.

Jegs and Summit sell a one wire alternator that is in a Ford housing. Should make mounting it a lot easier. I used the gm style on my big block Mopar and had to make brackets but would have saved time to use stock style mounting brackets.
