Yep, 3.73 gear. Is that from the one you got from me? If so I thought it had never been apart.

That's the one. It didn't look like it had been apart until I got the cover off then I seen the rtv to seal the cover. yep I had the drums turned and I took everything apart all that needs cleaned and painted is the housing.

Man can't beat that!!! I would've never imagined that it had been apart from the looks of it.

An easy trick to check the gear ratio is to count how many times the pinion(drive shaft) rotates with 1 revolution of an axle. Its really easy when the rearend is out of the car!
Cool!! Thanks for the tip!

Yep, ive busted several guys trying to sell me "4.10 gears" when the drive shaft only rotated 3 times!
At least his was the opposite! I thought it was the stock 3.08 but it was this instead. It looked like it hadn't ever been apart.

No kidding! I would love to find something more stout than a crappy 3.08! I never get that lucky.
Yeah I know when i took the pan off and seen the rtv i looked for numbers on the gear and there it was the 373 and i was like no way!! This never happens to me!! So i had to make sure it is what i thought it was!

Good deal! Glad it will get some good use out of it!
