BTW I overthought on the 3V. While it has VCT it is a single cam so overlap will be in effect on those engines. They still have variable cam timing. It dose the same thing as the adjustable cam gears on an old school push rod engine that allows you to reposition cam to crank position giving you fine positioning aside from simply jumping a timing link and hoping that wasn't too much. the DOHC's give more versatility to the same concept. GT500's never had this technology btw in spite of their cam configuration. Sorry for the mistake on the 3V theory. I ran a custom grind Comp cam in my 2005. It was a mild mild that had a light cam sound that sounded best with LT's after I switched to them. Sorry to beat on. I believe in correcting my missed speaking when I realize it. Enjoy that beauty.
