The guy who bought my cobra from a salvage yard and put it back together contacted me today on Facebook. He filled in the gaps on a lot of the stuff that i was unsure about. Sent me some pics too.

Wow.. that car got mangled up a bit.. Looks super good now considering how bad it was. It had a wee bit more than a fender bender.. Kinda cool to see the pics from the salvage yard.
Man that thing was hit hard!
Glad to see it saved and hopefully all the work was done right and not cobbed together.

Yeah the work was done correctly thankfully. It was done by a reputable shop. It was cool to see the pics for sure. I was really surprised by how bad the car looked. But like you said it's cool that it was saved and not sent to scrap.

Little polishing action today. This thing looked like cast aluminum when i picked it up. Stll has some blemishes on it from the previous owner. But it looks way better. Planning on getting the seats changed out today as well. So as long no unforeseen stuff happens I should have more pics later

So the guy who sent me the pics of the car from the scrap yard. Well he had the factory T45 sitting out in his shed. He messaged me last night and had me meet him to pick it up. The 3-4 slider is shot. Or thats what I think he said lol. Either way I'll take it

So, I had a few things planned for today. None of them got completed lol. The little progress I did manage was short lived and I discovered some ridiculous nonsense. So i pulled the bumper cover off. It didn't need much help. It had 1 push pin holding the bottom on and 2 zip ties. Thats it. Im surprised it hadn't fallen off honestly. So the new to the car cover is on. I bought some push pins (or whatever they are called) to hold tge bottom in place and the 2 that go in the grill area. I need the hardware that goes in the fender wells still. Next on the list was the coolant overflow tank. Apparently, the tabs on the stock one had broken at some point. So they used epoxy to put them back on. Not to mention the wrong hardware to fasten it to the car. So. I will be taking a trip to pull and pay this week with a list that seems to keep growing. I will never understand why people don't take the time and do things correctly the first time. It makes life much easier.

Round 2 of seat cleaning and a few coats of leather conditioner. The pics don't really do them justice. They look so much better now than they did when I brought them home.

So the seats are out. Was going to put the tan seats in. However, what seems to be an ongoing theme with this car. It's missing most of the bolts for the rear seats. So more items added to my things to get at the salvage yard list.
