They are doing more testing as it is needed. Testing now takes 5 minutes for a positive result and 15 for a negative to be confirmed. Just had a guy in our shop go in Thursday for testing due to shortness of breath. Result was negative. He had just started smoking again and his lungs were reacting to that. Said University Hospital had him in and out with no issues. No waiting no crowds and very well organized. The new test ALSO eliminates the need for PPE equipment. You swab your own nose , put it in a bag, and hand it to them. The original method involves jamming the swab through the nasal cavity and into the back of the throat which induced coughing and gagging. Our numbers are higher because we ARE testing as compared to other countries. Regardless we are talking about a small fraction though a life loss is precious regardless if we can stop it.
