That cam (witha dual spring set-up) works REALLY well with Boost.

Gong V8? no 7.3L setup? Guess if you can put a GM engine in it,I won't feel so bad if I end up picking up a 13 or 14 ZL1. Still looking for a GT500 or even a ZL1 to trade this 17 GT in on. I may have put 2500 miles on it this year. It only has 12,000 miles on it. I just have never liked the car. I may as well be driving a BMW or a Benz is how I feel when I get in it.
Def going to be a sleeper.........until someone hears the exhaust and turbo spin up. Look forward to seeing it.
Yup going V8, decided to go this route instead of adapting a transmission behind the 4 cylinder. I just know that this engine fits without too much hammering. Chad sounds like you like the previous generation Mustang more than your current one. I test drove a new 17 GT a few years ago and it was deceptively quick. I thought it felt like a more buttoned down Mustang than mine.

You would be very correct Joe. I prefer a more unbridled driving experience when I sit down in a Mustang. 13/14 is the happy spot between the 05-09 S197 and the S550. Just as some guys have never come to like the OHC engines and stick with push rod setups, I prefer the 05-09 and 13/14 S197's to any other out there since the Fox body went out of production in 93...SVT 03/04 Cobra is the exception.
Look forward to seeing it run next season. Should be a real head turner.

Teaching myself how to stick weld. I got it seal up well on this Stainless test piece. Going make crossover pipe towards the front of the car and leave space hopefully for T4 turbo.

The motor is assembled now. Measured the pushrods and bought a new set. Never had to do that before.
Went ahead and sealed up the egr hole.

I tried to stick weld once....................once. (Johnny Dangerously reference). Looks really good. I want to be there when you roll into E20 with it next season to see the facial expressions. That Cobra looks in dire need of some drive time.

Made little bit more progress.
Added 50LB injectors, cleaned up the motor a bit and ordered turbo for it. Just trying to decide now when to pull the B230 out.

nice! What are your plans for the 2003 SVT? Haven't heard you mention it since the VMP swap.
Thanks! I’m planning on getting slicks for it. I ran it late last year and I think there is some room for improvement with its current setup. I’ve been throwing the idea of getting a fox body and throwing the Volvo motor in it and replacing the rods with some H-beams.
Joe
Hook up with Brian. Sounds like he is hoarding fox bodys up his way. LOL!
I don't have anything nice right now. Just the start of a junkyard!

Brian what are your plan for all these cars?
Joe
These are mostly parts. I have a black 01 V6 car that will be sold complete.
The rest are either no title (salvage) or rusted way beyond fixing.
