    E20 opening day

This was a quote from Curt last year to me. Come on Steve...
Every squirrel finds a nut once in a while...
(I think you need about 3 more wins if I remember right to be at my level of lethal-ness!!!)...

Well I figure were only a month away from the track opening this year and I will go ahead and start stirring up shit now. I got my heads fixed and a freshenesd up bottom end and I say: Listen here Jack!!! I hope you did your homework over the winter because I did and I see it like this. You will be looking at nothing but the tail lights. Just like that country song by Clint Black says. Here in case your unfamiliar with the lyrics they go like this

Now I'm racin in the moonlight,
    Seein' nothin' but the taillights
And that's a pair of taillights
I will see over and over again
Steve hit me with the left and right,
Showin' me nothin' but the taillights
    And that's about as lonely
As the quarter mile's ever been
Back here in the pits with my log book out again

Red Sevine sang about "seein' nothin' but tail lights from phantom 309."

Look forward to seeing you make some passes this year. Never was down when you were running. You still sprayin or are you going N/A this year?

I think Steve is running N/A for the first few months...

in which case, he'll be wishing he had the "juice" when I line up against him...

I might be a little late gettin' out this year... "Snowman" is workin' his magic on the lower intake and cylinder heads... .... good luck steve!

Not to get off of topic, but WHEN does E2O open this year?? Their site has not been updated yet, at least the last time I checked.

That's good racing right there so long as the sun warms the track up a bit. There's nothing like some cool early spring air.

Wow, if it was a sanke it would have bit me, right before I posted I looked at their calendar, and it had nothing on it, never thought about reading the small type on their home page

No doubt, warm track + cold air = lots of power

I can't wait. Just this past weekend I took my car out for a little drive trying to get some "break in" miles on it, and smelling the burnt race fuel really got me going.

Thanks. didn't feel like pullin out the album to get the spelling. LOL.

How in the world does a person hook at all in February on a cold track? Isn't that awefully early for T/T? Never thought a drag strip north of Nashville, TN would open before the last week of March.

Very true, I am not looking for any records at the begining of the season, just to be able to get out and have some fun racing.

Its all about making the money, even with the weather being questionable in Feb and March.

Honestly, someone has to go out early and start building the groove up as well as cleaning off the track.

I've been doing this on Fridays at local RC track. Yes, it is oval racing. but someone has to get the groove started. I changed to a high rubber content tire because of this. BTW the floor temps do effect overall grip level. Running 4.2 seconds laps normally, with a cold floor you are lucky to get 1-2 4.4 laps then string 4.5 second laps for 3 minutes.

    Off topic, yet racing related.
