I know, right! :D
I've been saving a personal day to watch.
I'm working on it fellas. Lol

Fyi Racecraft makes kirkey brackets for fox. Offers adjustability of the units shown above.
I was looking at those Walter but decided to use what was already being used, I just needed to hog the aluminum out for some weight savings. It's a bear pulling those seats in and out with them weighing in at almost 5lbs each, X2 on each seat. The other thing is that the seat brace and my seat location is matched up with it as well. Still useing the manual sliders though. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2e71f7f857.jpg

I just recently acquired some bolt on HP, time to start another piece of an installation. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0e5204c359.jpg

In the event of an incident, them sliders are gonna break right off.
I always liked them being adjustable too but Walter is right, they will break quick. I use the Jegs non adjustable mounts not but they set me down too low for my liking.
Have you guys had some experience with them just coming a part?
Installed the mandrel last night and believe I have everything lined up as needed. Got the proper belt length needed and location of the mounting point for the smog pump.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f0318ce36f.jpg

Just out of curiosity what kind of side load does that setup place on the crank and associated bearings and seals? How much tension will be on the belts or is that why you are running a timing belt that can be run with little to no tension on it?
I run sliders on my kirksey with no problems. Bracketed to my cage and isn't going anywhere
So how is the pump regulated? What pressure differential will you attempt to maintain or is it preset based on engine displacement and RPM when you order the unit? I understand the concept just curious at what point too much vacuum is too much and starts to hamper the upward stroke of the piston cycle. In my mind too much vacuum effect on the piston up stroke would be like sticking your finger over the end of a syringe (without the needle in it) and trying to pull up the plunger. Thanks in advance for the 411.
Would be fun to see it on the dyno and make a few pulls at different vacuum settings to see the effects.
I'm sure there would be a way to measure crankcase pressures to test its effectiveness as well, any ideas?
You could T in a vacuum gauge on the bottom end where the vacuum pump will be connected to the lower side. A mechanical version may work, but not sure being the atmosphere will likely be heavy with oil vapor and mist. Another option would be to obtain an electrical vacuum gauge but you're looking at $250 for the only model I could find. A vacuum boost gauge that reads vacuum down to 30inches would also work. They are a bit more reasonable as they are in higher demand with regard to one with a sending unit vice the mechanical option if you have to go that route.
I will contact the smog pump manufacturer and see if they have any recommendations on measureing the vacuum draw and where to do it accurately. It is now installed by the way. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8a07754323.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...6ae97af910.jpg

Looks like you have plenty of room to work!!!!
That thing would look badass if it was dark metallic gunmetal!
Or even a shade of primer!
DUDE!! I feel your pain with the Fuggin Bikes!!!!!
