The pump itself will have little to no tension on it.

So how is the pump regulated? What pressure differential will you attempt to maintain or is it preset based on engine displacement and RPM when you order the unit? I understand the concept just curious at what point too much vacuum is too much and starts to hamper the upward stroke of the piston cycle. In my mind too much vacuum effect on the piston up stroke would be like sticking your finger over the end of a syringe (without the needle in it) and trying to pull up the plunger.
