In honor of football season we have a little orange and black for you, actually just a complete coincidence. First is a quad bumper in mirror orange. Then we have some go fast car parts in more mirror orange and a dash in carbide black. Then we have a dinky turbo setup in mirror black and finally a Subi pipe in satin ceramic black.

Wow, whats that bumper going on? Been thinking about adding some color to my replacement atv plans in the upcoming months. Have you tried translucent orange or copper over silver vein?

The bumper is going on a KTM race quad. I do have some jollypop copper here (candy copper). It will be fairly dark over silver vein. I can get other oranges or coppers but be warned orange/copper transparent color are the most difficult of all colors to work with. Here is a pic of it over chrome. BTW what kind of replacement quad did you get?

Hmmm thinking maybe the copper over silver vein, wanting it to be fairly dark. What would it take for you to shoot me a test piece if you already have those powders laying around, can sent you the funds. Havent definitely gotten anything yet but I am trying to pick up another Z400 frame thats already been professionally gussetted. I already had plans to build one at some point and had been slowly collected parts, guess my plans are just expedited some. Gonna build it completely from ground up with all the best parts for local hare scrambles and GNCC racing. I really like the LTZ platform, right size for my frame being 5'10" and 145lbs fully geared.

So wish you werent 2hrs away Kenny, would have you all kinds of business with the guys I ride with. I have a riding buddy's bike tore down right now, trying to blast the frame in my back yard just so I can paint it and back together quickly. He doesnt want to wait for me to run there and back, that extra week is too much for him lol.

Let me know when you are getting close and I will get you a sample worked up. Lot of fun stripping that frame isnt it, quad frames suck to strip. Youll now why they arent cheap to coat. Btw ill need to see a pic of the bumper to give you a price but for reference the orange one was $40 for a single coat

Sounds good. Yeah this thing definitely sucks to strip, all the small corners. The bumper is just like the orange one, but im want it done it a fine texture black. What I want to try the color on is the swinger, upper a arms, stem, air box, and a few other small parts. Cant decide completely on the color scheme, try a color or do gloss white. Seems to be the only thing on my build plans I cant decide about.

Have you ever done a brake master cylinder. If I can take this thing apart. I will also have a few brackets that will need some PC. What would you charge for master cylinder? Black

It's all metal, the older cast iron parts.

How hot do the parts get when you bake them? I figured I would need to disassembly it because of the seals.

I bake at 400deg for most powders and yes the seals would need removed. I would say $40 for the lid and m/c.

My one year contract is up in March. But if things keep going the way they are I might stick around for another year or so. That's easier said than done tho. We'll see. Your work speaks for itself, very nice

Candies are not easy to do, candies on a quad frame can be a nightmare Not to toot my own horn but this frame came out absolutely amazing. In the sun it just look drop dead sexy. It is candy red over mirror silver sparkle. I just wish I could make it look as good in pics as it does in person.
