    2007 Powerfest at Tri-State Dragway
July 14th, 9am-4pm. Two classes of Racing:

    1) The Vinny Changet Quick 32 Street car shoot-out. Open to ALL Street Cars. Participants will have mufflers, DOTs, insurance, & tags that match the car. Your car should be NHRA legal for the ETs it runs. (ie you run 9's, you better have the approved equipment) NO BRACKET RACING DELAY BOXES OR TIMERS. You will have 2 rounds to qualify for the race. After qualifying, the quickest 32 will then race, bracket style, to determine the winner. Those who dont qualify, will be able to run in the Street Bash Class.

As a Bonus, The car with the fastest MPH in qualifying, will be awarded a $100 Gift Card and a Plaque.

A second Bonus, the car with the Quickest ET, in qualifying, will be awarded a $100 Gift card and a plaque.

The winner will recieve a $300 Gift card & Plaque.
    Runner up $150 & Plaque.

2)Street Car Bracket Bash!! Open to ALL Street cars. Same rules as above. I want this simple as possible.
Winner, $200 Gift card & Plaque.
Runner up, $100 Gift card & plaque.

ENTRY FEE...........Whats too much? I dont want to strap anyone. I want EVERYONE to show up and have a Great Time.

Im thinking $40 for car, driver and one crew person for the Quick 32.

$30 for the Street Bash participants and one crew member.
Non racing participants, $10. KIDS under 16, FREE!! I want this to be a FAMILY EVENT!! Bring the wife, the kids, kids friends etc etc. Bring the Whole family and enjoy the day.

Show and Shine? $10 for car and driver with a Top 10 awarded at the end of the day.

    OR.....

Do you guys just wanna pay $20-$25 and have an open track day?

Speak now, I value everyones opinion.

I think either one would be a real blast.

Yup. lol No, I think it would just be more fun, less pressure. Peeps can set up some grudge matches if they want, it would be a little more laid back, etc. Hell, whatever you guys decide, I'm down Charlie Brown...

I like the more laid back and the grudge matches, just a couple of question, if you had a bracket race there would still be time for this right ? if not what do the cars do if they get knock out of the bracket race ? Whatever you guys want I'm in!

After the Brackets are done, we could set up Grudge Races. Tri-states test and tune will happen at 4pm. We are already there, so if everyone wants to stay, they can keep racing till they close.
    Keep the ideas coming.

That's cool. And the $40 entry fee will cover both our track day and test-and-tune that night?

$40 for 10 hours of racing...not a bad deal at all.
