I am just gonna take a Wild guess and say that Dave will be doing that, just like the previous years. I hope he gets a good shot of my Dad's Fairlane. I dont think its ever gotten any professional photographs taken of it

My heap is sitting without valve covers at the moment. I have those old polished Ford Motorsport covers, and they just won't polish out for the life of me so i had my buddy glass bead blast them and i'm gonna clear coat them. We'll see how well they turn out or i'll be looking for a polisher.

Try wetsanding them if they have fine scratches, go from 1000 grit to 2000 grit, until it has a uniform look and texture. then polish the poo out of them!

Or just give em to me

Well the blasting didn't turn out so great, or at least not enough to clear coat them. That bead blasting isn't as harsh as sand so it doesn't pit the surface so it's no big deal to polish them later. For now i'm going black since i've wanted the black ones forever. When i'm bored i can get'em blasted again and polish them.

I've always liked them. I'm not a big fan of the chromed/polished everything look. It looks great on other peoples car but for me on my car all i see is a lot of work to keep it all shiney and polished. I like to keep things low maintenance and low key.
