    Entrance Ramp speed

what is it that people can not seem to understand that you are supposed to be up to speed by the time ya get to merge in traffic.. Every morning I get on 75 off Tylersville, and it never fails someone is doing oh say 45 at the end of the exit ramp.. Makes me want to get a LED sign in the back of my car that says something like "Merge with traffic at 65mph not 45mph !! It is my number one pet peeve !! Anyone else get frustrated with this, or am I the only one feeling the rage !!

My theory is run wide open, find a hole you'll fit in. Slam the brake enough to slide in behind the car you want to be behind....hasn't failed me thus far, some people don't like it when you slide a 18 ft vehicle in the 20ft distance they left between them and the car in front but screw em. They should have kept a safe distance!

If they are going 45 maybe you should slow down. Considering that's the minimum and 65 is the max. I agree people cannot merge, just giving another vantage point.

I blame this on them taking drivers education out of the schools and making it all private. I dont feel they teach young people the proper way to drive anymore and that it all is a money grab . I hate when people dont get up to speed to merge into traffic on the freeway , so you sir are not alone.

It's very annoying to me also. Happened just last night where some monkey in a Corolla was in front of me trying to get on 71 southbound and they were doing 35.

Even better is when they won't use their signal while merging.

I usually hang to the left behind them, blocking their view but allowing me to merge easier, more safely.

I can't stand this crap either. By the time the ramp hits the highway your ass needs to be going speed limit MINIMUM. 5 or so over is even better since everyone else is likely going that fast or faster. It's like double dutch...you've gotta time it right and you can't just mosey on out there.

Ride their asses and push em up to speed, or pass em on the outside!!! lol jk but I drive 75 everyday for work and constantly am venting about this. I love driving the short bus to work, because I can make traffic my bitch. But in the truck, you have to intimidate lol. My pet peeve is when one big truck is going 63mph, and another one makes a pass traveling 64mph. I call this a cripple fight. Sombitches take 3-4 miles to make a pass, and for what, BOTH of em to drop back down to 60mph on the next hill?!? I respect truckers, but there are some real fuggin winners out there!

I bitch about this every time I am getting on the interstate. The other thing I hate is when people don't purchase the "optional turn signal to change lanes option" or only purchase the "I signaled because I want your space so move I am coming over" option on their vehicles. And why in teh hell won't people stay right expect to pass? I know this is a courtesy in Ohio, (it should be law) but for crying out loud, how long can you drive along side someone at less than a one MPH speed difference?

I hear you man, the on ramp 45mph people got to go. How about the left lane campers....drives me insane. Left lane is for passing plain and simple. Its the passing lane for christs sake. did you ever wonder why everyone passing you on the right looks like they want to rip your head off?

Man you guys all have high blood pressure don't you. Insaneba, do me a favor and next time you come up on someone going 1mph slower than you just stay behind them... that's what you expect others to do apparently. It sure doesn't make my day having to hold people up to pass a governed truck in a governed truck.

The problem with the passing lane is that 9 out of 10 people think they're gonna pass every single person on the highway regardless of how fast they're going, so it becomes the cruise lane more often than not

Then lift for 15 seconds, all it takes for the slower truck in the slower lane to allow the other truck by and then back into the slow lane.

This used to be a HUGE issue when trucks in Ohio were only allowed 55 mph while the little folk go 65 mph limit.

Also 1 mph difference between trucks means less than 90 seconds to overtake the slower truck.

Ran into a left lane hog tonight on 275 EB. The Avon lady would only get over when someone flashed her than as soon as that car passed she cut back left even though 3 more cars were coming, NO traffic in the middle lane. After putting up with this for 6-7 miles, she wanted to get off at Montgomery road from the fast lane, in 6 pm rush hour traffic.

Those that had been dealing with her antics, blocked her in.

Jk trucking, you obviously read and dont comprehend what anyone is saying before you make your comments. I'm not the one doing 1mph faster. The dumbass in the other truck is. Hence the name "cripple fight" The moron in the left lane doesent have the mental capacity to realize that he isint going to get there any faster by traveling that 1mph. Why do you ask? Because I am that asshole that will get infront of him, and slow down just to let him know how it feels. Yes I have road rage, driving amongst MORONS like that daily for years is enough to make anyone have it. But then again, just by your screen name I can tell your a little biased. Just so you know, I work at a Truck dealership, and have many friends that are drivers as well. They even agree with me, that it's bullshit. But then again, they are successful enough they own their own trucks, and dont have a governor set in them. So they feel the aggrivation I do. It's just like Mist Bone said, whats the big deal for the right lane guy to lift for 15 seconds? It's 1 mph for christ sake. Unless that piece of shit has to go up a hill, then it's an afternoon event... Damn you made me rant again!

Apparently you don't read and comprehend what people say because I said "that's what you expect others to do". As in your story about the crippled race... you expect us to sit behind slower trucks to not inconvenience your day. You are just another road rage jerk off always in a hurry with no patience. I drive a car too and like to do 5 over everywhere just like you. But this is the real world and not insaneba land... so why not just slow down and enjoy the scenery a bit? As I said we don't do it to inconvenience you. And what is 1 MPH... not much, but what is 5 MPH? On a 1 hour ride at the speed limit in Ohio, doing 70 will get you there 4 minutes faster. Think dude, use your head.
