I have a allot to do. I'm also helping my dad build his Camaro. I should be finished by the spring shootout. The motor is basically ready to come out of the car. I'm just waiting on a hoist to lift it out of the engine bay. Then its off to ERL to get built. That'll give me enough time to run the fuel system and decide if I want to put a cage in it or not.

I ended up picking one up along with a engine stand last night. I really appreciate the offer.

Just thought I would toss it out there! I was tired of borrowing my dads when needed so picked up a used one and engine stand myself. Pretty sure I've used it 2 times but nice to have around. Good luck with that motor, car is a beast!

I just got back from a 5 hour trip to ERL on only 2 hours of sleep. Now I have a 10 hour work shift ahead of me. It needed to be done though. Shipping was over $150 and it only cost me $10 in gas. She'll be a resleeved fully forged 6 bolt 427ci block in approximately 8 weeks. I'm probably going with Trickflow 255x LS3 6 bolt heads and use the LS3 intake manifold. I thought about switching to a LS7 style head and use a OEM LS7 intake. I'm not sure the power gain is worth the money though.

What kind of power would it pick up over the LS3 stuff?

Im not sure as far as horse power goes. The LS3 255x flow 392 cfm and the LS7 260's flow 405cfm. I think the LS7 intake flows a little better too. Or so im told. Its not a huge difference though.

Been to ERL in New Albany many times. Had Luke one of their machinest's and Dale their head of maintenance in several of my training classes. Installed their 2nd CNC Laser as well. Toured the whole facility. Great bunch of guys. Very well known in the import and marine industry.

Yeah don't seem like a lot to pick up for the cost increase. Still should perform pretty good! The flow is incredible! Wish I could get the 4V heads to do that!

The LS3/7 heads flow so good. I wouldn't buy a set of heads if I wasn't switching to a 6 bolt set up. I remember looking at stage 3 heads for my 04 cobra and 3V and they didn't even flow close to these head in stock form. The place im buying them from flow tests them ports them even further where the drag.

Never in my life would I imagine myself spending $5,000 for a fuel system. It should show up any day now.

Fore Innovations C6 Corvette stage 3 Fuel System

-Triple Ti Auto 267 (Triple 485's) E85 fuel pumps

    -Billet hanger

    -Billet fuel filter

-10 micron stainless reusable element upgrade

-Teflon -10 feed and -8 return hoses

    -Black AN fittings

    -Fuel pressure regulator

-FC3 staged fuel pump controller with hobbs switch (to activate 2nd and 3rd pumps)

    -Wiring kit

    -ID1700 Injectors

I also decided im going with a LS7 top end. I'll most likely be going with PRC 285CC heads and a precision metal craft intake. I still have alot of research to do before making my decision.

Its suppose to support 2000+hp on race gas. Its over kill but if one pump fails. The other two will be enough to support my power level. Last thing I want is a pump to fail and blow my motor. If Vortech/Paxton ever releases their new blower that'll fit the vette. I'll be upgrading my head unit. Its suppose to put out 1600hp. I'm just trying to think ahead. Who knows what the aftermarket will have for us in 5-10 years.
