Cam didnt like the look of the rear tires in the rear quarters, so he whacked another 1/2" off the rear ends and re-installed the rear....

The coil overs were going to be a PITA to adjust with the factory fuel tank, so Cam and I talked and now he is going to build a custom tank. Which in turn, lead us to go ahead and replace the upper TQ boxes as well.

Ive always liked the way a Coupe looks when its slammed on the ground. But I was told without the proper mods, it wouldnt work very well at the track. SO a call to TRZ was in order....

Their 2" drop spindles look awesome, and are strong enough to see some street time.

Im also not a fan of the front wheel behind further out than the rear wheel, so I ordered up some 1" shorter A-arms to get the front wheel back to where it needs to be...

The believe the rear end has been cut down a total of 3-1/4" on each side.

Made an early mroning run up to Cam's shop to have hime Tig some -12 fittings on my new Ford Valve covers.

You are lightyears ahead of me. My block is at BES, don't have heads or cams, crank needs balanced, bearings are on intergalactic back order, etc. Haven't even started ordering transmission parts yet!
I use the ford factory SM to do my chains, pretty much have it memorized now.

Awesome build. Excellent welding skills. Hope you figure out the cam issue. I came here today for nostalgia reasons. Looking up old threads I was a parts of. Always loved the forums especially this one and the Dayton 5.0 one that Mike Bell had. Forget the name. Think the name changed once. Wish we could go back. I hate Facebook. Seems like a chaotic mess, cant find things twice half the time. This is a 40 page thread that I can read like a book, find it easily and check in as often as I like. So nice.

Turbo kit finished up. CM cage finished up. TRZ tubular frontend installed. New Alum fuel tank fab'd up and some other items Im probably forgetting.

My buddy Scotty. Was a nitrous LS 408. Now the only thing that is the same from that setup is the color of the car. Everything has changed. Front to back.

I was able to get the intake cams done, but the exhaust cams needed a different dial indicator stand, so hopefully i can get that done later today.

impressive jigs and machine work Craig. I like the plunger indicator mount and adapter. Cam lockouts huh? Looks like things just got real serious. Good luck. 575WHP is more than enough for this old man behind the wheel these days......but I'd pay for some gas to go for a ride when that is done. ;)

Love the stop as well. I made a spark plug gapping tool years ago for the 3 valve plugs. May even still work for the newer ones as well if they still use 16mm fine thread.

YOU???!!! HAPPY RUNNING TENS??? BLAH HA HA!!! Nah....that's my line. you owned a speed shop and grew up with a dad that loved cars and speed as well, IIRC. For a guy like you there is no such thing as "happy" running at any speed or ET...once you get there. I went to Kings Island last year for the first time in 15 years...or any amusement park. Got on Banshi and about soiled myself on the first hill. I used to ride coasters all the time. The bigger the better. I've ridden a coaster in Japan. I've been to Cedar Point and ridden every coaster there including Millennium Force...hands up the whole way. Just don't have the nerve I had years ago. Best of luck. Miss seeing you up this way.

I get that. I went to Kings Island about 3 years ago with a buddy who I grew up with. In our younger years we went to Cedar point about 15 years earlier and rode every coaster except sky dragster because it kept shutting down. He got me on Banshi at Kings Island and boy was I ready to re-engage. Little did I realize how old I was until we got about half way up that hill. I screamed like a little girl going down the other side. It was fun but I was scared poopless. We rode Racer, Beast, and then I got the nerve to ride Diamond back. I did NOT sit on the outside. I got off that coaster weak kneed. We looked at Orion and found every excuse not to go on it aside admitting we didn't have the nerve any longer. Rode Banshi once more and went home. I know what you mean
man.
